Big news! Fylde Council have chosen Smile to facilitate group discussions and workshops with themselves, the organisers of Lytham Festival and the local residents so that they can be consulted and included in decisions that they take about the festival site each year.
Heather and Sarah met with the group and were invited by the organisers (Cuffe and Taylor) of the festival along with the residents focus group to have a tour of the site on a busy festival evening. It was very reassuring to see all of the work that goes into ensuring everyone’s safety at these events; not just by the organisers but by all the people they work in partnership with such as the police, ambulance and fire services.

Offering exceptional experiences for artists and audiences like no other, they produce and promote major festivals, stadium tours, arena concerts and theatre shows across the UK and internationally.
Founded in 2010, business partners Daniel Cuffe and Peter Taylor dipped their toe into the live music world with the one-night Lytham Proms in their hometown of Lytham, Lancashire. This has now grown into the huge five-day Lytham Festival attracting in excess of 100,000 fans each summer. Alongside Lytham Festival, Cuffe & Taylor programme all live music events at both Scarborough Open Air Theatre and The Piece Hall Halifax creating unforgettable events over the summer months as they host internationally renowned artists.
Cuffe & Taylor’s roster of artists is extensive and varied including Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Britney Spears, Rod Stewart, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Madness, Lewis Capaldi, Sir Tom Jones, Bryan Adams, Kylie, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, Stereophonics, Cliff Richard, Simply Red, Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream, Sam Fender, Little Mix, Duran Duran and Paul Weller.
In 2017 Cuffe & Taylor became part of the Live Nation family and the following year they expanded with the addition of a theatre touring division founded by Ben Hatton. Since then, they have filled theatres across the UK and internationally programming thousands of nights of entertainment ranging from live podcasts, screen-to-stage TV adaptations and musical theatre.
From RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, The Cher Show, A Question Of Sport Live and James Martin Live, to the very popular tribute shows Whitney, Queen Of The Night and Tina – What’s Love Got To Do With It, as well as tours with West End and Broadway royalty Sarah Brightman and Lea Salonga, the theatre touring division continues to grow.
In 2023 Cuffe & Taylor were recipients of an Olivier Award, for Best Family Show, for their original production of ‘Hey Duggee – The Live Theatre Show’.
